# White Chocolate Chip & Macadamia Nut Cookies

Copycat Levain Bakery Cookies

# Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter
  • cup of white sugar
  • cup of brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • tsp of vanilla extract
  • cup of cake flour
  • cup of all-purpose flour
  • tsp of cornstarch
  • of baking soda
  • tsp of salt
  • cup of white chocolate chips
  • cup of chopped macadamia nuts

# Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cold cubed butter and the sugar on a medium speed until there are no more butter chunks
  3. Add the egg and vanilla and continue to beat on a medium speed until everything is well combined
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the cake flour, AP flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt
  5. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet \frac{1}{3} cup at a time
  6. Beat until a uniform, sturdy dough has formed.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chips and the macadamia nuts
  8. Roll out 8 evenly sized balls and placed on a prepared baking sheet
  9. Bake on the middle rack for 9 minutes
  10. Let cool for half an hour before eating
