# InstantPot Black Beans

Cuban-style black beans

# Ingredients

  • 3 slices bacon, chopped
  • cup onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp jalapeño, minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb dried black beans
  • cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 package sazón seasoning
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • cilantro, chopped
  • 1-2 limes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

# Directions

  1. In instantpot, saute bacon until brown
  2. Add onion and jalapeño and cook until onion is translucent, add garlic, saute for another 30s - 1 min
  3. Turn off saute mode and add all remaning ingredients, except for lime and cilantro
  4. Pressure cook on high for 40 min, natural pressure release for 15 min
  5. Stir beans and remove bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  6. Serve beans with lime wedges and garnish with cilantro
