# InstantPot Black Beans
Note: requires InstantPot
Cuban-style black beans
# Ingredients
- 3 slices bacon, chopped
cup onion, chopped- 3 tbsp jalapeño, minced
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 3 cups water
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 lb dried black beans
cup red wine vinegar- 1 package sazón seasoning
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 bay leaf
cilantro, chopped- 1-2 limes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
# Directions
- In instantpot, saute bacon until brown
- Add onion and jalapeño and cook until onion is translucent, add garlic, saute for another 30s - 1 min
- Turn off saute mode and add all remaning ingredients, except for lime and cilantro
- Pressure cook on high for 40 min, natural pressure release for 15 min
- Stir beans and remove bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper to taste
- Serve beans with lime wedges and garnish with cilantro
