# Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Traditional chocolate chip cookies made with brown butter
# Ingredients

sticks butter (6 oz) - 1
cups all purpose flour tsp baking soda- 1
tsp salt - 1 cup brown sugar
cup white sugar- 1 whole egg
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 oz chocolate chips
# Directions
- Preheat to 375˚F
- Whisk flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl and set aside
- Brown 1 stick of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Swirl often and scrape bottom with silicone spatula to prevent sticking. Process should take about 4 minutes. Once brown, place in its own bowl and set aside
- Cut remaining butter and add into browned butter
- After butter is relatively cool, add egg, egg yolks, and sugar and whisk until smooth, then whisk in the vanilla extract
- Using the spatula, fold the dry ingredients from step 2 into the butter mixture, then fold in the chocolate
- Let rest 5-10 minutes
- Scoop ~3 tbsp sized balls of dough and bake on cookie sheet until golden brown (~8-10 minutes)
